"Pizza Hut Hut Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions (“Terms of Use” or “Terms”)


1. General Terms
1.1. Hut Rewards Membership Scheme (“Hut Rewards”, the “Membership Scheme” or “Membership”), previously known as “Pizza Card Membership Scheme”, is managed and operated by Pizza Hut Hong Kong Management Limited (hereinafter as “Pizza Hut”, “we”, “our” or “us”).

 

1.2. The Membership Scheme includes the accumulation / retention of points rewards (“Points Rewards”) in the unit of “Points”.

 

1.3. Only customers who have completed the Membership Scheme registration process via the Pizza Hut Hong Kong website (the “PH website”), the Pizza Hut Hong Kong mobile application (the “PH App”), or via the Storellet mobile application (see Section 1.4 below) (the “Storellet App”) (both available for download from the App Store or Google Play Store) are eligible to become Hut Rewards members and enjoy membership privileges (“Members”).

 

1.4. The Storellet App is owned and operated by Crozz Limited. The Storellet App helps customers organize mobile applications of their favourite restaurants (including the PH App) by housing them into one single Storellet App. The use of the Storellet App will require registration as a member of Storellet App. The member registration and use of the Storellet App are subject to the Storellet App’s own terms and conditions and privacy policy.

 

1.5. Membership accounts can be accessed either via the PH website, PH App or the Storellet App. Any changes to Points Rewards balances and coupon records resulting from Members’ activities from within the Storellet App will be reflected in the Members’ account accessible via the PH website and PH App, and vice versa. In other words, whether a Member earns or redeems Points Rewards in the PH website, PH App, or the Storellet App, all such activities relate to and will be reflected in the same PH Member’s account.

 

1.6. The Membership Scheme is open to individuals aged twelve (12) or above. If you are twelve (12) years or older but under the age of eighteen (18) years, you will need your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent to become a Member. If your parent or legal guardian does not acknowledge and agree to these Terms, you must not proceed to complete the registration process for the Membership Scheme.

 

1.7. Members are required to verify their Membership by presenting the QR code of their Membership ID (the “Member QR Code”) shown on the Account page of the PH website or the PH App to Pizza Hut staff for scanning. If Members are using the PH website or PH App, they must log in to verify their Membership before completing the transactions.

 

1.8. Misuse of the Membership Scheme, Points Rewards or its benefits may result in termination of Membership or withdrawal of Member privileges.

 

1.9. Pizza Hut reserves the right to amend the Membership Scheme structure, privileges and other features, including these Terms of Use, or to terminate the Membership Scheme at any time. It is the responsibility of Members to keep themselves up-to-date with regard to these Terms of Use. The use of Points Rewards/Membership privileges by Members will be deemed as Members’ agreement to/acceptance of any changes to these Terms of Use. Pizza Hut will not be liable for loss or damage resulting thereof.

 

1.10. Pizza Hut does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any network problems, system failures, phone connection problems and/or blockages due to third-party applications which may result in the PH website or PH App and its functions and services being affected or becoming unavailable.

 

1.11. Pizza Hut reserves the right to suspend the PH website and/or PH App or any parts of it for repairs, maintenance, upgrades, or any other work Pizza Hut deems appropriate without prior notice.

 

1.12. Pizza Hut’s records shall be conclusive. In case of disputes, Pizza Hut reserves the right of final decision on all Membership, Points Rewards, estamp rewards, special offers/discounts and coupon-related matters.

 

1.13. The Membership Scheme has two types of Membership status, Basic Membership Status (or Basic Member) and Gold Membership Status (or Gold Member). Basic Membership Status is permanent while Gold Membership status, unless otherwise renewed pursuant to these Terms of Use, is valid for twelve (12) months from the grant of the relevant Gold Membership status or up to the next quarter-end date of the following year, whichever is the later. The quarter-end dates are 31 January, 30 April, 31 July and 31 October of each year. For example, Gold Membership status granted on 15 June 2015 would expire, unless otherwise renewed pursuant to these Terms of Use, on 31 July 2016.

 

1.14. In case of disputes, Pizza Hut reserves the right of final decision on all matters relating to the Membership Scheme.

 

2. Membership Application/Registration
2.1. Customers can apply to become a Basic Member by completing the Membership Scheme registration process via the PH website, PH App or Storellet App (see Sections 1.4 and 1.5 above).

 

2.2. Upon successful application, customers will receive a SMS verification code sent to their designated mobile phone number. Customers are required to enter such code to complete the registration process.

 

2.3. The eligibility for Membership is at the sole discretion of Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut may accept or refuse any application for Membership of any person, or suspend or terminate any Membership at any time.

 

3. Membership Privileges
3.1. Details of Membership privileges of Basic and Gold Members can be found in the PH website and the PH App.

 

3.2. Earning Points Rewards
a) To earn Points Rewards for any purchase, Members must present their Member QR Code to Pizza Hut staff for scanning before completion of purchase. If Members are using the PH website or PH App, they must log in before completing their transactions to earn Points. Members providing only their mobile phone number and/or Pizza Hut Membership number (without presenting the Member QR Code) will not be entitled to earn Points and there will be no re-issuance of Points after the purchase has been completed.
b) For delivery orders made via the Pizza Hut telephone ordering hotline +852 2330 0000 (the “PH Hotline”), in order to earn Points, Members must read to the operator their Membership ID upon ordering. Members are required to verify their Membership upon food delivery by presenting their Member QR Code shown on the Account page of the PH website or the PH App.
c) Members can earn one Point for every HK$5 spent after discount (if any) at Pizza Hut restaurants/outlets, excluding decimal points. For example, HK$134.7 spent = 26 Points earned. Only purchases made personally by Members will earn Points Rewards.
d) Points Rewards are valid for twelve (12) months from the Membership registration date or up to the next quarter-end date of the following year, whichever is the later (the “Points Validity Period”). The quarter-end dates are 31 January, 30 April, 31 July and 31 October of each year. For example, the Points Rewards of a Member (whether Basic Member or Gold Member) registered on 15 June 2015 will expire on 31 July 2016 after which a new Points Validity Period will start and Points Rewards accumulated from 1 August 2016 will expire on 31 July 2017 and so on.
e) Accumulation and redemption of Points Rewards are valid only during the Points Validity Period. Unredeemed Points cannot be carried forward and will expire. Members can check their Points Rewards balance through the PH website, the PH App or the Storellet App. Receipts of purchases will also show the Points Rewards balance.
f) Members are responsible for keeping track of their Membership status and the expiry dates of their Points Rewards. Points will be cleared automatically after their expiry date. In case of disputes, the records held by Pizza Hut shall be treated as conclusive evidence of balance of Points Rewards in the Member’s account.
g) Points will not be awarded through gift redemptions, purchase of corporate coupons, prizes, donations, or purchase of cash coupons.
h) It will take 24 hours after a transaction for Points Rewards to be processed and credited to Members’ accounts.
i) Points can only be earned once per transaction each time.
j) Points will be deducted from your Membership account if you returned products or services to Pizza Hut for a refund. Pizza Hut reserves the right to deduct Points from Membership accounts if Pizza Hut suspects that Points have been obtained via fraudulent or dishonest means.

 

3.3. Redemption of Points Rewards and Pizza Hut Coupons
a) Accumulation and redemption of Points Rewards are valid only during the Points Validity Period (see Section 3.2(d) above). Unused Points cannot be carried forward and will expire.
b) Points Rewards can be used to redeem Pizza Hut coupons. To redeem, Members must log in to their account via the PH website, the PH App or Storellet App, then go to the Points & Redemptions page and follow the steps to complete the redemption. Upon successful redemption, the redeemed item will be stored on the Coupons page.
c) For delivery orders made via the PH Hotline: Members must inform the operator that he/she wishes to redeem Points Rewards/Pizza Hut coupons and provide Membership number for identity verification before ordering. Members are required to verify their Membership upon delivery by presenting their Member QR Code shown on the Account page of the PH website or the PH App.
d) Each Pizza Hut coupon can only be used once per person.
e) Points Rewards cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
f) Points Rewards/Pizza Hut coupons are not transferable unless otherwise specified in the terms of the relevant coupon and cannot be used in combination with or shared between other Hut Rewards accounts the Member may have.
g) Redemption of Points Rewards is subject to the acceptance by Pizza Hut and to the availability of sufficient balance of Points. If there are insufficient Points, the redemption request will be refused.
h) Points Rewards/Pizza Hut coupons redemption cannot be changed or cancelled once confirmed successful and the applicable number of Points/Pizza Hut coupons will be deducted from your Points Rewards account automatically.
i) Each Pizza Hut coupon is valid for a limited time only and expires on the date specified on the Pizza Hut coupon. Unused or expired Pizza Hut coupons will be forfeited, and no refund or extension of the validity period is possible.
j) Use of Pizza Hut coupons is subject to related terms and conditions specified on the Pizza Hut coupons.
k) Members should immediately report to Pizza Hut any unauthorised Points Rewards claims or redemption. We will decide at our discretion as to what action to take.

 

3.4. Birthday Offer
a) Members will only enjoy birthday offer if birth date data is provided to the Membership Scheme prior to the 1st day of the birthday month.
b) Members may enjoy a one-time birthday offer at any Pizza Hut designated restaurants/outlets in Hong Kong during his/her birthday month (e.g. if the Member’s birthday is on 15 October, birthday month covers the period from 1-31 October) by presenting the birthday e-coupon. The birthday offer is specified in the Member Privileges page in the PH website, the PH App or the Storellet App. Offer usage terms and conditions will be reflected in the coupon sent to the Members’ account in the birthday month.
c) If the Membership is created/birth date data is submitted to the Membership Scheme in his/her birthday month, the Member may enjoy the birthday offer in his/her birthday month in the following year. For example, if a Member registers in June, which is also his/her birthday month, he/she may enjoy the birthday offer in June of the following year.
d) In addition to the above, Gold Members will receive the “Gold Member Birthday Offer” if they hold Gold Membership status on the 1st day of their birthday month. For example: a Gold Member with a birthday in February will receive the “Gold Member Birthday Offer” if he/she holds Gold Membership status on or before 31 January. Conversely, if the Member’s status is upgraded to “Gold” after 31 January, then he/she will not receive the “Gold Member Birthday Offer” for that year.
e) Pizza Hut’s records shall be conclusive. In case of disputes, Pizza Hut reserves the right of final decision on the use of the offer.

 

3.5. Other Offers
a) Subject to your consent obtained in accordance with our Privacy Policy (https://order1.pizzahut.com.hk/corp/en/policy), we may use your personal data to provide you with other tailored and personalised offers and promotions in relation to your Membership account, the accumulation of Points Rewards and/or the Hut Rewards (“Your Personalised Offers”) and to send Your Personalised Offers directly to you via your preferred communication channel(s).
b) Your Personalised Offers will be subject to additional terms and conditions, which will be posted on the PH website, PH App and/or Storellet App, or otherwise notified to you.
c) Your Personalised Offers are for your personal use only and cannot be shared with any other Members of the Hut Rewards or a third party. If despite this, you do share Your Personalised Offer with another party, once it is used by such party it will no longer be available for your use.

 

3.6. Miscellaneous
a) All Membership privileges under the Hut Rewards, including the usage, delivery, collection or redemption thereof, may be subject to additional terms and conditions, which may be posted on PH website and/or PH App, or notified to you prior to your usage or redemption of such privileges.
b) The Membership privileges that can be used or redeemed by you in relation to your Membership account may be prescribed, amended, provided, offered or terminated, from time to time, at our sole discretion, without any liability to you.

 

4. Membership Status
4.1. Upgrade
Basic Membership status is permanent. A Basic Member making a single purchase of HK$500 or above or have accumulated spending over HK$1,000 within the Points Validity Period will be upgraded automatically to Gold Membership Status within the next day after the transaction day for the period specified in Section 4.2 below.

 

4.2. Extension / Shifting
Any Gold Membership status is valid for twelve (12) months from date of obtaining such status or up to the next quarter-end date of the following year, whichever is the later. The quarter-end dates are 31 January, 30 April, 31 July and 31 October each year. For example, Gold Membership obtained on 15 June 2015 will expire on 31 July 2016. Gold Members who accumulate spending of over HK$1,000 within the relevant Points Validity Period will enjoy automatic renewal of their Gold Membership status for another twelve (12) months from their Gold Membership expiry date until the next quarter-end date. For Gold Members who are unable to accumulate spending of HK$1,000 before the expiry of their Gold Membership, their Membership status will be changed automatically to Basic Membership after the Gold Membership expiry date.

 

5. Termination or Suspension of Membership
5.1. Members can terminate their Membership at any time. To terminate your Membership and permanently delete your Pizza Hut account, please use your registered email to contact our Customer Service Officer at customer@jrghk.com. The email message should include your Membership ID and your registered mobile number. Your request will take up to ten (10) working days from the day of the receipt of the request to process.

 

5.2. If you do not earn or redeem any Points for two (2) years or more, we may consider your Membership account dormant and have the right to suspend or terminate your Membership (with or without prior notice).

 

5.3. If we reasonably believe that you have breached any of these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your Membership (with or without prior notice) and/or seek to recover from you any damages and losses suffered by us or our business partners.

 

5.4. Any misconduct, fraud, misuse of points by any Member or failure to adhere to these Terms of Use and/or any other related terms and conditions of the Membership Scheme may result in immediate termination of Membership and cancellation of all Points Rewards with or without prior notice.

 

5.5. Your Membership account is linked to your mobile phone number. Only one Membership account can be linked to a mobile phone number. You cannot change the mobile phone number linked to a particular Membership account. If you change your mobile phone number, you must open another Membership account through the PH App, PH website or Storellet App. If you do not transfer your Points Rewards in your previous Membership account to your new Membership account promptly after such changes, your Points Rewards in the previous Membership account may be at risk of being accessed by third parties and/or redeemed by someone else using your previous mobile number. Without prejudice to the foregoing, if we reasonably believe that your mobile phone number has been transferred to a third party or you have deactivated your mobile phone number, then we have the right to terminate your Membership account linked to this mobile phone number (with or without prior notice), and to create another Membership account for the new owner of this mobile phone number.

 

5.6. Upon termination of your Membership in accordance with any of the foregoing or these Terms, your Membership ID will no longer be valid for logging into the PH website, the PH App or the Storellet App. All unredeemed Points Rewards /Pizza Hut coupons will be cancelled/forfeited. You will need to re-apply for a new Membership [using a new mobile phone number] if you wish to re-join.

 

6. Keeping Your Membership Account Secure
Please keep your password for your Membership account and Membership ID safe at all times. We also recommend that you update your password regularly. Please notify us immediately via customer@jrghk.com if there has been any actual or suspected unauthorised use of your Membership account.

 

7. Disclaimers
7.1. All information, content and materials of any kind provided on the PH website, PH App, Storellet App are for your general reference only. Your participation in the Hut Rewards and your use of the PH website, PH App, your Membership account, your offers, Points Rewards and your Membership ID, are at your own risk.

 

7.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hut Rewards, PH website, PH App, Storellet App, your Membership account, your Membership ID, your offers, Points Rewards, and all information, content, materials and/or services provided or performed in relation to them are provided “as is”, and all express or implied conditions or warranties are excluded.

 

7.3. We make no representations, undertakings or warranties:

 

(a) as to title, accuracy, completeness, currency, quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose in relation to the Hut Rewards, PH website, PH App, Storellet App, your Membership account, your Membership ID, your offers, Points Rewards, or any information, content, materials and/or services provided or performed in relation to them; or

 

(b) that the Hut Rewards, PH website, PH App, Storellet App, your Membership account or your Membership ID will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, timely or available, or that any error or malfunction will be rectified.

 

8. Our Liability
We shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive or consequential losses or damages suffered by you, regardless of how they arise (including by negligence or otherwise).

 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable to you in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise for any losses or damages whatsoever (including whether general, special, indirect, direct, nominal, punitive, incidental or consequential) which may arise in relation to these Terms, Hut Rewards, PH website, PH App, Storellet App, your Membership account, your Membership ID, your offers, Points Rewards, any products and services offered by our business partners, or any information, content, materials and/or services provided or performed in relation to them, whether or not we were advised in advance of the possibility of such losses or damages.

 

If any court of competent jurisdiction finds that any part of the above provisions under this Clause 8 of our Terms is invalid or unenforceable, then our total liability in relation to these Terms, the Hut Rewards, PH website, PH App, Storellet App, your Membership account, your Membership ID, your offers, Points Rewards, or any information, content, materials and/or services provided or performed in relation to them, shall be limited to the provision of Points and/or the replacement of any Points Rewards that is the subject of the dispute, as we may determine at our absolute discretion.

 

9. Intellectual Property Rights
All rights, title, interest, copyright, trade mark rights, domain names, design rights, goodwill and any other intellectual property rights anywhere in the world (of any kind whatsoever) subsisting in Hut Rewards, PH website, PH App, Storellet App, your Membership account, your Membership ID, and any information, content, materials and/or services provided or performed in relation to them, are owned by us and/or our licensors. You shall not obtain any rights, title or interests in them, and shall not modify, copy, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute or create derivative works based on them (either in whole or in part).

 

You agree that any feedback, comments or suggestions you may provide to us is entirely voluntary and we will be free to use it (or not use it) as we see fit, and without any obligation to you.

 

10. Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy sets out the purposes for which we will use your personal data, who we share your personal data with, and the choices you have in relation to how your personal data is collected and used by us. By applying to become a Member, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy. A copy of our Privacy Policy can be found here (https://order1.pizzahut.com.hk/corp/en/policy).

 

11. Links
The PH website, PH App, Storellet App, and any electronic communications sent to you or any materials provided to you online or digitally, may include links to other websites, apps, content or resources, which are hosted, offered or provided by third parties (including our affiliates or business partners). You understand and agree that we:
(a) do not have any control over and do not monitor those third-party websites, apps, content or resources;
(b) do not provide any undertakings, representations or warranties, and are not responsible for any of those third-party websites, apps, content or resources (or any products, goods or services promoted, referred to or offered on the third-party websites, apps, content or resources); and
(c) do not endorse any of those third-party websites, apps, content or resources, or any advertising, products, goods, services or other materials made available from such third-party websites, apps, content or resources.

 

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Use and any disputes or matters arising out of or in relation to hereto shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong SAR and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong SAR.

 

13. Miscellaneous
13.1. Pizza Hut reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use and any given information, services and resources available at the Pizza Hut restaurants/outlets, and online services (including the PH website, the PH App and the Storellet App) at any time without prior notice. A copy of the latest version of these Terms of Use is available on the PH website and the PH App. By continuing to use your Membership account after any amendment of these Terms, you are deemed to have agreed to our amended Terms. If you do not agree to these amendments, you will have the option of cancelling your Membership account at any time.

 

13.2. If any of these Terms are held invalid, illegal or unenforceable by any court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction, it will be severed and the remaining terms will continue in full force and effect as if these Terms had been made without the invalid, illegal or unenforceable term.

 

13.3. These Terms and our Privacy Policy, and any other terms and conditions referred to herein, contain the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Hut Rewards and your Membership.

 

13.4. Any failure or delay by us to exercise any right or act upon a breach under these Terms will not be a waiver of that right or breach. Any waiver by us of any of our rights or of a breach of these Terms must be in writing, and such waiver is limited to the particular right or breach stated in it.

 

13.5. These Terms are personal to you, and you may not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms. However, we may transfer our rights or obligations to any third party without your consent.

 

13.6. The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623) shall not apply to these Terms.

 

13.7. Pizza Hut shall have the right at any time and at its absolute discretion without giving any prior notice or reason to Members to suspend or terminate the operation of the Membership Scheme. Upon the termination of the operation of the Membership Scheme, all rights and privileges of Members shall cease and no claim or demand of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising shall be made or capable of being made by any Member against Pizza Hut in connection with the suspension or termination of the operation of the Membership Scheme.

 

13.8. These Terms of Use are written in the English language and may be translated into Chinese. In case of discrepancies between the English and the Chinese versions of these Terms of Use, the English version shall prevail.
